The Fleet's Restoration Journey
As mentioned in the Jersey Camper Hire Company Profile section, the company is parented by Le Riche Automobile Restorers, an experienced classic car restoration company of 30 years. All our campervans have been worked on in the company workshop. This varies from a full and extensive restoration of some of the older models, to a simple service of the new Danbury camper vans.
1967 Split Screen - Day camper
The first van to go under the grinder was our 1960’s Split Screen. It has been through a gruelling journey, once an ambulance in Portugal. This camper has been stripped down to bare metal and rebuilt through months of hard graft. It has had a custom-built colour coded interior fitted. We are very proud of our 1960’s Split Screen – it is a fine example.

1977 Devon Bay Window
We finished working on the 1977 Devon Bay Window in June 2011 and it really is the star of the fleet. We entirely stripped the interior and took the van back to bare metal; we cut out rust and welded in new sections of panel. We refurbished the parts that were worth saving, such as the front seats and fold out bunks. A brand new custom interior has been fitted with funky lino and soft furnishings added.
