Our 1960´s Split Screen perhaps one of the most iconic started life as an ambulance in Portugal. It was subsequently discovered for sale on ebay and shipped to Jersey for restoration, but being impractical as an Ambulance it was converted to a day van.

Custom upholstered with a classic period interior whilst still maintaining several subtle Ambulance features such as nurses chair, door step, head lining, and European Siren (regrettably disconnected). The exterior of “One Three Four” is standard in appearance and mechanically apart from a slightly up-rated engine it is factory standard. For photos and a little bit of history of the restoration of '67 Splitty go to "Our Fleet's Restoration Journey" section.

VW Split Screen

The "VW Split Screen" can accommodate 6 adults comfortably when driving and as it originates from Portugal it is LHD. A combination of 3 and 2 point seat belts are fitted, 3 in the front and three in the rear. It has a "Rock and Roll" bed, (sleeps 2 adults), a removable table, a correct period Blaupunkt radio (upgraded with MP3 player connection), and a cool box. For a comprehensive list of all accessories included in the your hire visit "What comes with the van?"
